Chapter 106: Li Ruobing Has a Sense of Crisis

    Extremely sudden.

Not only had Li Ruobing kissed him on her own initiative again, she had gone further than last time, hanging off his waist with both legs around him. She was tall, but slim, and not heavy. And when a nine-out-of-ten beauty in business attire, with a personality as hard as hers, suddenly did something like this, it truly did have a feeling to it.

Wu Chen nearly misread her purpose.

But turning it over, it didn’t hold.

Because whatever else happened, nothing could happen between the two of them today. Su Qingying was here, only off in the shower and due out again soon. And Li Ruobing wasn’t that kind of woman. Whatever notions she had, she wouldn’t choose this moment.

Nor, of course, was she staging a performance to anger Su Qingying.

She had no such petty little-woman streak in her, and wouldn’t throw herself that far for it.

Besides, if she wanted to anger Su Qingying, to stir Su Qingying’s feelings, there was no need to send her away at all. She could simply have done it in front of her.

    Which left… only one possibility.

With Li Ruobing, Wu Chen wasn’t going to refuse.

Honestly, the satisfaction of taking Su Qingying down was nothing beside the satisfaction of taking Li Ruobing down. Li Ruobing truly was a woman with whom, however you handled her, the game could still end in ruin. You might conquer her—or be conquered, or used, by her.

Li Ruobing was a woman who could rouse a man’s fiercest urge to conquer.

Which was also why Ding Ruilong was so insanely determined to have her by any means available.

Since she had delivered herself to him, Wu Chen responded.

The two of them kissed in front of that enormous floor-to-ceiling window for a full… five minutes.

From which Wu Chen could plainly feel that Li Ruobing genuinely did have thoughts about him. Otherwise there was no need for it to run so long.

At last she stopped and lifted her head slightly, drawing her face a little away from his. They were still very close, perhaps five centimeters apart, their eyes meeting.

“Not bad. You can hold me that long.” Li Ruobing smiled and said it low. She was still hanging off him.

“I’m honestly rather puzzled.” Wu Chen smiled too, keeping his voice low, looking into her eyes. “Did you pull me over here to put on a show because you knew there was someone outside watching and filming? Or… are you deliberately taking advantage of me?”

“Taking advantage of you?” She seemed to find that very funny. Her lips pressed together and she said softly, “Do you even have the nerve? As I recall, after I kissed you last time, you told me, Only a bastard passes up a freebie. You said that, didn’t you? Haven’t you always felt you were the one taking advantage of me?”

“I did say that last time. But… since you know it and still came up to me of your own accord, what’s the game? You want me to take advantage of you? Have you actually fallen in love with me? Trying to please me?”

    Her smile faltered.

She truly couldn’t outtalk Wu Chen. Not once.

“That’s right. I am taking advantage of you,” she said.

“Oh no. I’ve been taken advantage of by you. I feel so awful.” He said it smiling, with a heavily deliberate tone. He wanted her to feel the deliberateness, to know he meant the opposite.

The instant he finished, Wu Chen felt a pain in his rear shoulder. She had pinched him again.

When she couldn’t win with words, she pinched.

Li Ruobing genuinely was not this sort of person. This was the first time she had treated a man this way. Most likely, in this lifetime, Wu Chen would be the only man she ever treated this way.

Having pinched him, she gave him no chance to fire back and anger her again. “Carry me to the sofa,” she said at once.

As she said it, her right hand hooked tight around his neck. She raised her other hand and pulled the curtain she had just opened closed again.

Wu Chen carried her toward the living room sofa. When they reached the coffee table she let go on…
