    Chapter 84: The “Descending” Projection

The dazzling pure-white ray directly pierced through the glass window and landed on the Witch King Karaman.

It immediately burst with intense light, melting away everything undead, shadowy, and evil.

Karaman’s figure ignited with whitish flames, like a paper man brought close to glowing-red coal.

It truly was a paper man, seemingly formed from crimson moonlight.

Witch King substitution technique: Moon Paper Figurine!

As the paper figurine turned to ash, the ancient Witch King appeared at the top of the cathedral spire, casting an icy gaze toward Emlyn White near the bell tower.

Just then, Karaman’s blood-red eyes reflected Sharron’s figure in her black court dress and small soft hat. His body instantly stiffened, as though he had lost control of himself.

Seeing this, Emlyn did not hesitate. As though he had rehearsed the movement a thousand times, he aimed the Pure White Sight at the left side of the opposing Witch King’s chest, preparing to activate the Sun domain’s Unshadowed Spear.

As long as the attack could strike Karaman’s heart, this Witch King would be unable to neutralize it through Moonlight Transformation and would find it difficult to heal with the artificial vampire’s superhuman recovery.

Of course, that would certainly cause fairly serious harm to Sharron, who had possessed Karaman. But if it could quickly resolve the target, she was willing to pay the corresponding price.

During their previous discussions, Emlyn, Sharron, and Maric had debated several similar plans and reached agreement.

This was also why Sharron had not bound the Witch King Karaman by influencing his clothes. Compared with Wraith possession, such a method was easier for an opponent capable of Moonlight Transformation to resolve. As for whether Karaman would be ashamed by running naked, the magic mirror’s answer was no.

Under those premises, they had ultimately chosen to have Emlyn White ambush the target, exhausting his Moon Paper Figurine and thereby creating an opportunity for Sharron to possess him.

Seeing the transparent glass orb in Emlyn’s hand accumulate radiance once more, extending a spear of absolute purity and incandescent whiteness, Karaman, who stood stiffly atop the cathedral spire, suddenly changed.

A slit rapidly opened at the center of his forehead. Within it seemed to be embedded a blood-red full moon.

Moonlight flooded out like a tide, causing Sharron’s illusory body, pale-blond hair, and light-blue eyes to uncontrollably float a little out of Karaman’s body.

Karaman’s stiff and sluggish movements barely returned to normal. In the radiance of the full moon, he turned into a mass of blood color and split into countless fragments of light.

His figure quickly reassembled atop another spire of the cathedral, with Sharron’s phantom in her black court dress pressed closely to his back. Meanwhile, the Unshadowed Spear Emlyn had created passed through Karaman’s original position and flew into the distance, swelling in midair into a miniature sun.

The entire port city was suddenly illuminated.

At the same time, Karaman’s right shoulder began visibly wriggling. Something tore through his black robe and drilled out.

It was an exquisitely made male doll. Only the size of a palm, it wore a dark-red formal suit decorated with golden patterns. Its eyes had been dug out by someone, leaving only two black holes.

The doll sat on Karaman’s shoulder and raised both hands, its ten fingers pressing repeatedly as though playing an invisible instrument.

Sharron’s figure was immediately bounced away from Karaman’s back, seemingly suffering powerful rejection.

Emlyn, for his part, felt his clothing abruptly tighten, binding him firmly in place.

His bow tie also came alive and attempted to strangle him in midair.

That doll was a Grade 1 sealed artifact the Rose School of Thought had given Karaman. It was called the Pupil-less General, an item formed after a Sequence 4 demigod of the…
