Chapter 110: Omniscience

There was no need for anyone to introduce him. The four demigods present all clearly recognized one fact:
The man asleep upon the iron-black throne, a man comparable in height to a giant, was God’s left hand, the deputy of the heavenly kingdom, the Dark Angel Sasrir!
Among them, Lovia also clearly felt the pressure that came from an absolutely high-ranking being. It was just like receiving a response when praying to the True Creator—an aura that could throw thoughts into chaos, drag the soul into degeneration, and make the body tremble.
All at once, she heard a burst of laughter. Somewhat confused and startled, she turned her head to the side.
Klein had bent slightly at the waist and was laughing loudly.
“He’s still asleep. Should we wake Him directly, or wait for Him to wake up on His own?
“And if we choose to wake Him, how should we greet Him? Hi, Your Highness Dark Angel? Leader of the Rose Redemption?”
The two questions sounded absurd and arrogant, yet they freed Colin Iliad and Derrick from the influence of the environment and made them fall into thought.
Just now, they had instinctively considered the first question as well. It was extremely important and concerned what they should do next.
After thinking, Colin Iliad said, “Do not awaken Him for now. Try to approach, search for clues, and gather intelligence.”
“That’s my thought too.” Klein casually snapped his fingers with his left hand and was about to stride toward the iron-black throne.
At that moment, he felt rather grateful—grateful that he had already dealt with the “shadow” and restored the wholeness of his spirit. Otherwise, he would have been utterly unable to restrain the virtual personality. When simulating how to greet the Dark Angel, he had almost blurted out, “Hi, Little Sa.”
Seeing Gehrman Sparrow had already taken two steps forward, Lovia finally came back to herself.
“I’ll try with a soul I shepherd.”
This was a relatively safer method, one less likely to endanger the exploration team.
Klein nodded. Holding the black cane, he turned his body to the side with a brilliant smile.
A three-to-four-meter-tall illusory figure immediately appeared before Lovia. On its head grew a pair of goat horns covered in mysterious patterns. Its skin was dark and dim, filled with an evil, uncanny quality. It was a demon.
Unlike the demons Klein had seen before, this one’s surface bore many signs of rot, and yellow-green pus hung from it, as though it were mixed with the power of degeneration.
While Klein casually examined the illusion, the demon spread the gigantic bat-like wings behind it. Pale-blue flames burned more fiercely upon them, releasing a heavy smell of sulfur.
It stepped forward, slowly approaching the iron-black throne and the layers of steps made for giants, using its innate danger intuition to detect any mutation that might occur.
As Colin Iliad, Klein, and the other demigods watched it, they also examined the details of this shadowed palace. Behind the iron-black throne where Sasrir slept, they discovered a pair of grayish-blue double doors. The light upon them was dim, and the doors depicted a twilight scene.
Perhaps that is the door leading to the outside world… The same thought flashed simultaneously through the minds of the three demigods of the City of Silver—Colin Iliad, Derrick, and Lovia.
Just then, the demon shadow that had covered half the distance abruptly froze. A cluster of intertwined silver-white lightning enveloped it, and amid crackling sounds, it was torn into fragments and rapidly faded.
A pillar of light wrapped in sacred flames descended from nowhere, completely purifying the demonic soul.
Lovia did not suffer because of the loss of the shepherded target. She merely furrowed her brows slightly, unable for the moment to think of a better way to explore.
Klein looked left and right, then said with an exaggerated smile,
“As expected, we still have to rely on me.”
As he spoke, he…
